Finding Information of the Internet

There are a number of excelent search engines and directories available on the internet. Some of the most popular are Yahoo <www.yahoo.com>, Lycos <www.lycos.com> and Excite <www.excite.com>.

One of the most exciting new search engines is Google <google.stanford.edu>. Google is an ongoing doctoral research project with the goal of applying the concept of citation relevance to websites. Although its website database is relatively small (about 25 million pages) it provides very relevant responses for searches. Start your search here and if you cannot find what you're looking for, then go to one of the other search engines or directories.
